Yes you can! Provided you rewrite your answers in your own words. Almost like with music, you can sample the work of another artist, provided you deliver it in your own new unique way.

Some users have been copying answers from Wikipedia wholesale. The iQ moderators have been instructed to delete these answers. So be warned.

Also a major redesign is under way. The new system will encourage well written, unique and helpful answers. Once this system is completed users who have copied and unoriginal answers's rank will fall.

Remember on Lycos iQ its YOUR knowlege and YOUR ability to get information and present it in a new way - that counts!

We have noticed your questions (this one from ndm20) about a forum for Lycos iQ.

Lycos is investigating this and whether an internal one to one messaging system (similar to those on flickr and YouTube) would not be better suited.

It is clear that there is a need for Lycos iQ members to exchange views and talk to each other. The question asking mechanism was not designed for that.

A one to one messaging system will allow users to chat, flirt and exchange views privately. A forum will enhance the Lycos iQ community.

What are your thoughts? What would you prefer? =/
